Happy October 23rd!

Yep you read it right! It's October 23rd and every year I celebrate it. 

Why?

Well if you want to know the technical reason, October is my favorite month and 23 is my favorite number so it's kinda inevitable. BUT in all honesty a bunch of good stuff always happens to me everyday on this year so its has just become awesome and i look forward to it every year.

 Today's Awesome Occurrences:

1) I got to go to SweetCakes with my darlin' mother :)

2)I received a 47/50 on my honors history midterm 

3) I got a 97% on my math test

4) It's a Thursday which means I will go to the temple with my cute cousin Amy

5) It just so happens my other cousin, Katie was born today, and since she's living with us, she gets to choose where she would like her birthday dinner and she picked Gecko Grill! Yummy Mexican food is always a good thing :)

and guess what it' only 5 :)

Counting My Blessings

Last night I got to talk to a dear friend for about 40 minutes and that phone call was an answer to prayers. (so hey thank you) Before I fell asleep I thought about all the people who have inspired me, lifted me, laughed with me, helped me, ans most of all, loved me, and I thought to myself 'You are one lucky duck darlin!'  So this post is a small thank you for simply being you. Never forget that you have the chance to bless and change the life of other people. If you miss someone, call them. If you love someone, tell them. Friends are the best so be grateful for the ones you have, look for some new ones, and become the one. That is all :)

2. I don't think i have ever truly known the meaning of this word until the past couple of weeks. My faith has been tested, the rains have come, storms have beaten, and it's been pretty rough.
3. But how gratitude has filled my heart these past few days.
4. As I've been preparing for general conference I've been overwhelmed by how truly blessed i am!
5. Though these weeks have tested me i have felt the Savior and Heavenly Father right by my side, giving me the push of strength just when it was needed.
6. God gives us hard times to be strengthened and help us grow closer to the person He needs us to be. If these hardships mean I can grow closer to Him and help him, bring them on.
